Meet Ryan Grant

Ryan, a seasoned Project Manager with over 20 years of experience in live, virtual, and hybrid event production, heads the project delivery team at Farnborough. As the lead project manager for your event, he collaborates with a team of project managers and technical experts.

His primary responsibilities encompass client liaison, cost estimation, design and implementation of technical solutions, schedule management, crew supervision, and ensuring top-notch service delivery at every stage. Ryan’s passion, expertise, and adaptability thrive as we explore innovative technical solutions to astonish our clients and their audiences.

During your time with Encore, you’ve worked on a wide variety of events; what’s your favourite?

It’s a tough call as I’ve had the opportunity to work on various events, and each one has been special in its own way. However, if I had to pick one, I always enjoyed going abroad for work. One of my most memorable experiences was collaborating with the prestigious V&A Museum on a series of projects overseas. The thrill of working in a new environment, meeting new people, and delivering exceptional events that exceeded our client’s expectations was truly rewarding. It was a great learning experience, and I feel grateful to have been a part of it.

What element of your job would you say that you enjoy the most?

The aspect that I find most enjoyable is the planning process after an event has been confirmed. As someone who has always loved numbers and spreadsheets, I find great satisfaction in creating detailed plans and organising all the necessary logistics to bring an event to life. From tracking budgets and timelines to coordinating with suppliers and freelancers, every step of the planning process presents a unique challenge that I always look forward to tackling. It’s a gratifying feeling to see everything come together seamlessly on the day of the event, and I take pride in knowing that I played a key role in making it all happen.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time when you're not busy on-site?

One of the things that I value the most is spending quality time with my wife and three children. As I can often be away from home for several days delivering an event, it’s important for me to make time for my loved ones. Apart from that, I’m also currently working on a significant project – building a house in Romania. This has been a dream project of mine, and I’m enjoying every step of the process. It’s an exciting challenge that requires a great deal of planning and attention to detail, much like my work at Encore.
