Utility Warehouse’s biggest partner event of the year saw nearly 5,000 attendees gather at the Coventry Building Society Arena for a dynamic day of product launches, awards, and networking. With a mission to “take it to the next level,” the event marked an important celebratory moment in Utility Warehouse’s history, and combined innovation, energy, and excitement to recognise hitting 1 million customers. A live band, spectacular visuals, and seamless technical execution set the tone for a truly unforgettable experience.
When Strive approached Encore, their brief was simple yet ambitious; transform ignite into a next-level event with a creative new approach. Utility Warehouse wanted a one-off event to celebrate this milestone in their growth, and Encore was entrusted with delivering our trademark seamless technical production, as well as our eye for unique design.
The brief included: Designing a brand-new stage layout, creating a visually stunning LED wall backdrop that was visible from every seat in the house, and full technical production, which included audio, lighting, video walls, and custom branding.
Collaboration was key. Encore partnered with Strive to develop a fresh approach, revising seating layouts and CAD drawings as often as was necessary before finalising the perfect design.
The eight-week timeline from concept to completion was tight but manageable, thanks to Encore’s meticulous planning and teamwork, Pre-production focused heavily on refining technical specifications and ensuring every element would align perfectly on-site.
The custom-designed stage featured an expansive LED backdrop, providing a striking focal point for the product reveals and award ceremonies. Branding was incorporated throughout the venue, creating a unified visual identity for the event.
Highlights included: A live band, supported by two expert audio technicians, whose seamless integration into the programme underscored Encore’s technical expertise; a custom backstage area for award winners, enhancing the ‘wow’ factor and building excitement for attendees; and collaboration with local council authorities to ensure all technical and logistical requirements were met.
The event ran flawlessly, delivering on its promise to elevate Utility Warehouse’s Ignite to new heights. The impact was immediate, with feedback praising the professionalism and creativity of the production. Encore’s partnership with Strive has already led to future bookings, solidifying a strong working relationship.
